Le Syndrome d’Activation Macrophagique (SAM) est la traduction clinique et biologique d’une prolifération et d’une activation macrophagique inappropriées avec hémophagocytose, mettant en jeu le pronostic vital. Il peut être primitif ou secondaire à une pathologie sous-jacente. Nous rapportons le cas d’une néphropathie lupique révélée par un syndrome d’activation macrophagique chez un homme de 56 ans.
Macrophage Activation Syndrome (MAS) is the clinical and biological translation of inappropriate proliferation and macrophage activation with hemophagocytosis, which is life-threatening. It may be primitive or secondary to an underlying pathology. We report the case of lupus nephropathy revealed by a macrophage activation syndrome in a 56-year-old man.
