Background: Patients’ satisfaction is a pillar of quality in health system reforms and health care service delivery. In Africa, studies on patient satisfaction are limited, with diverse and varied assessment methods. The aim of this study was to assess the level of satisfaction of customers of the Centre of Consultation and Odonto-stomatology Treatment of the UTH of Cocody, and to identify factors associated with the services provided.
Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted among patients aged at least 18 years who attended the centre.
Results: Three hundred patients were enrolled with a median age of 28.5 years [IIQ = 21-38]. More than half of the patients surveyed 160 (53.4%) had a secondary school level. The main reason for consultation was pain 206 (68.7%). ...

. Oral diseases, while largely preventable, pose a major health burden for many countries and affect people throughout their lifetime, causing pain, discomfort, disfigurement and even death.
. It is estimated that oral diseases affect nearly 3.5 billion people.
. Untreated dental caries (tooth decay) in permanent teeth is the most common health condition according to the Global Burden of Disease 2019.
. Treatment for oral health conditions is expensive and usually not part of universal health coverage (UHC).
. Most low- and middle-income countries are unable to provide services to prevent and treat oral health conditions..
. Oral diseases are caused by a range of modifiable risk factors, including sugar consumption, tobacco use, alcohol use and poor hygiene, and their underlying social and commercial determinants.

Une vidéo du Centre National de lutte contre la Douleur (CNRD), constituant support de formation à l'usage des professionnels et des étudiants en soins infirmiers. Un premier film de 22 minutes (1/5) expose la problématique de la douleur provoquée par les soins : « Point de vue d’experts ». Il est accompagné des vidéos 2/5 à 5/5 décrivant des soins en contexte. L’objectif principal de ces vidéos est de recenser les techniques du savoir-faire infirmier relevant du rôle autonome (rôle propre) dans le cadre de la prévention de la douleur provoquée par les soins. Les soins présentés relèvent uniquement du rôle propre infirmier ou des soins relevant d’une prescription médicale réalisés par l’infirmière en dehors de la présence d’un médecin. Sont exclus de ce support les soins réalisés par le médecin en présence de l’infirmière. Pour ces derniers, l’infirmière pourra bien entendu mettre en œuvre les moyens de prévention conseillés dans ces vidéos.
