Abstract
Management of dilacerated permanent maxillary central incisor: a report of two cases

Traumatic injuries of the primary dentition may interfere with the development of permanent successors. Dilaceration is a rare consequence representing only 3% of the total injuries mainly due to intrusion or avulsion of deciduous teeth.
It may cause various problems that affect aesthetics, function, malocclusion and other oral issues. Diagnosis of dilacerations is not always evident; in most cases, this anomaly is usually related to an impacted tooth, which makes it harder to be clinically recognized. Its management is a definite challenge to every clinician requiring a multidisciplinary approach.
The purpose of this paper was to report the diagnosis and the management of two clinical cases of dilacerated maxillary permanent central incisors of two young patients.
