Résumé

L’encombrement incisivo-canin mandibulaire peut exister en denture mixte. Il peut être transitoire ou s’aggraver avec l’évolution des arcades du fait de la diminution du périmètre d’arcade par perte de l’espace Lee-way. Le diagnostic précoce présente un intérêt indéniable, permettant d’instaurer une thérapeutique interceptive efficace, tout en essayant d’éviter les extractions ultérieures.
La décision de préserver ou de perdre l’espace Lee-way, dépend énormément du bilan orthodontique de l’espace. Le cas présenté dans ce travail, illustre l’intérêt de la prise en charge précoce pour corriger l’encombrement en exploitant l’espace Lee-way.

Abstract

In the mixed dentition, lower incisor crowding can exist. He may be transitory or increase with dental arch evolution because of reduction of arch length by loss of leeway space.
Early diagnosis allows the instauration of interceptive therapy, to ovoid extractions. Preserve or loss leeway space will depend of orthodontic space management. The clinical case presented in this article shows the interest of early treatment of incisor crowding to preserve arch length and make the leeway space available to resolve the crowding.
