Abstract
Prosthetic reconstruction in children after jaws surgery: the experience of Abidjan pediatric odonto-stomatology unit

Introduction: Jaws resections have a significant impact on the development of the patient. The management of sequelae most often involves an occluso-prosthetic rehabilitation whose requirements and realization do not always meet the specifications of replenishments in adults.
Case-report: Through two cases-reports the authors present the features of these reconstructions and the experience of the pediatric odonto-stomatology department of Abidjan.
Discussion: Occluso-prosthetic rehabilitation in pediatric odontostomatology is influenced by the growth of the child from which the prostheses evolve. When they concern the anterior sector, aesthetics becomes an imperative. The choice of materials is often function of the edentulousness and cooperation of the patient. The hooks are Adams hooks and ball hooks but may vary depending on the case-report.
Conclusion: Prosthetics have restored aesthetics and oro-facial functions in patients, thus contributing to their normal development.
