The authors, basing on documents of the 21 children stomized at the paediatric surgical department of Yopougon teaching hospital, reviewed the indications and the complications registered. Malnutrition is first mentioned followed by stomach irritations, prolapsed, failure of the quality of the surgical technique and the diet are incriminated in the aetiology of complications. The importance of the their mortality rates is linked with or due to malformations and the fragility of the new-born. An adapted (suitable) technique and a good diet could avoid these complications. Our attitude is summarised for the moment to the closure of the stomy around the third month white following the course of treatment of the motisantine pathology.
