Tuberculosis of the parotid gland is a rare clinical entity. It occurs most often in TB-endemic areas. The non-specificity of the clinical, biological and radiological signs explains the difficulty of the diagnosis confirmed by the bacteriological and pathological examinations. The treatment is essentially medical by the prescription of antituberculous drugs. Evolution is often favorable with well-conducted medical treatment. Multifocality is a poor prognostic factor usually affecting patients infected with HIV / AIDS.
We report a case of parotid tuberculosis occurring in a context of multifocal tuberculosis in an immunocompetent young woman and diagnosed by the GeneXpert study.
